But when illuminated from behind, its antique brass surface is transformed into something utterly extraordinary. Not only does the staggeringly dense detailing of the motif become revealed in all of its silhouetted glory, precise perforations around the rim of the circle project a panoramic fan of light beams radiating across the wall.
